    • pre-processes telemetry to generate level 0 files
    • monitors the satellite,
    • uplinks telecommands.

  • a mission centre also developed under SSC's responsibility, at Solna near Stockholm, which generates instruments' workplans in accordance with the science needs and satellite constraints

  • a Parallel Data Centre (PDC) in Stockholm under the responsibility of the Royal Institute of Technology, which:
    • archives level 0, 1A and 1B products for the two instruments (SMR and OSIRIS)
    • distributes the data to the production centres
    • updates a catalogue of available products in the archive, this catalogue being accessible through a web server
    • distributes products to users

  • a production and archive centre for Level 2-SMR/Aeronomy products, developed under MISU's responsibility in Stockholm

  • a French Ground Segment, to process Level 2 SMR aeronomy and level 1 SMR astronomy products, which comprises:
    • an astronomy Odin Data Management System installed at CNES in Toulouse
    • an aeronomy scientific processing unit at the ETHER data hub at the Pierre Simon Laplace Institute (IPSL)
